Stop and Smell the Roses and win a prize!!

So. What is the connection between gardening and survivorship? Well, one thing is staying active. So….introducing the “Backyard Breastie Stop and Smell the Roses Camarillo Walking Tours!”

These blog posts will feature a signature plant and a local walk that is 30 minutes or less. I don’t know about you, but when my oncologist tells me to be more active…I…well…I get bored!! I hate walking!!

But things change when you give me a purpose. So I am going to give YOU a purpose.

A gardening related purpose of course.

This walk starts at the Camarillo Community Center (there is plenty of parking) and features some beautiful roses. This walk is less than 30 minutes out to Hobart road and back.

Here is the trick.

You will walk the route and look for the roses AND the scavenger hunt item. The scavenger hunt item is on the walk in one of the gardens that are pictured. When you find the item, take a photo and post on the @backyardbreastie Facebook or Instagram page by May 31st 2024 (include your hand or shoe or something in the photo plus #BackyardBreastiesRoses so we don’t miss you. ) Everyone who posts will be entered into a raffle for a custom made painted rock.

Happy Hunting!!

A few ground rules. Please stay on the sidewalk. Everything pictured can be seen without going on the properties. If you are in treatment, check with your doctor first!!
