One Hundred Thanks.

The Backyard Breasties Yard Sale was a grueling, sweaty SUCCESS!! Despite the heat people came out and learned more about what we do. We are especially thankful to our volunteers who helped to set up, put out signs, direct traffic and break-down. We are also thankful to all the people who gave Backyard Breasties donations for the sale.

Upscale succulent miniature gardens were donated by artist and gardener, Go Find Eden.

Rebecca Rocks came out and sold some of her custom designed jewelry. She donated the proceeds to Backyard Breasties. She is a local artist and friend and we are so glad she could come out.

Rebecca Rocks

Custom, handmade jewelry made locally in central Camarillo.

Between sales and donations we earned about $1,000! This means upgrades for our Backyard Breasties Buckets like the Farmer’s Defense sleeves that launched on our “Breasties Shop” today!!

More Designs Available

We both apply sunscreen regularly when we garden because it is good protection for everyone but also because cancer meds can make you skin even more sensitive to the sun.

Plus…breast cancer is enough no need to put skin cancer into the rotation.

So we both recommend a physical barrier. We give away Farmer’s Defense sleeves in our Backyard Breastie Bucket. These sleeves are moisture wicking and SPF 50. Britany wears a S/M and I wear a L/XL. They prevent scratches and when you are in treatment, that is extra important.

We love the Hibiscus Tropical pattern but if you saw me at a tabling event or at the Yard Sale, you saw the Breast Cancer Sleeves. The company is based out of California, plants a tree with every order and is already committed to supporting breast cancer initiatives.

Their sleeves are the first item available in our Shop Breasties store. Check it out here: https://www.backyardbreasties.org/shopbreasties Please order and let us know what you think. Every order will support the free gift we send to people in treatment.

As always…Be like a flower…survive the rain but use it to grow.
