Meet my new breasties- Beverly & Britany, cofounders of Backyard Breasties, a non profit serving those of us lucky enough 🙄 to be undergoing treatment for breast cancer in Ventura county by helping to care for our gardens & fur families 🐶 🐈  They came by yesterday, showered me with the coolest goodies & the biggest laughs & promised to come back to help grow a beautiful little green space for me to gaze at from bed as I heal and to transform with me as I move through this season. I can’t wait to get to know them more and I’m so thankful to be a part of their tribe!! Having a garden was one of those things that I knew just wasn’t in the cards for us this year and it makes me sad every time I walk past my empty garden beds. Even just turning on the sprinklers is too much of a chore most of the time and yard work makes me feel so defeated, so having Beverly and Britany come and offer to help is such a source of hope for me. I’m not alone, I don’t have to do this alone, and there will be so much life beyond this. This is way more than yard work. This is life work.
